Greetings Rolfe families,
We are now at the end of the first nine weeks. How did your student(s) do? Are you satisfied with his/her progress?
Well it's that time of year - Parent/Teacher conferences. Parents, make those appointments and find out out what you can do to help your child succeed. Students, if you didn't achieve the grades you had hoped for this quarter, don't get discouraged. Begin to plan your next course of action to get back on track. You will need to focus, re-evaluate, set a new plan of action, don't let fear cramp your style and Decide that you are going to get the job done and you will. We all have confidence in you!!!
Parents you play a vital role in your child's success. So, meet with your child's teachers.
Ask questions-Let them know your concerns.
Establish times for homework & studying. Encourage your child to do his/her homework, and you can even help them study for tests.
This is the beginning of Advocating; (A PTA's effort), it starts with your own child(ren). You identify the issue(s), research it, then develop a plan which can quickly evolve into advocating for all children.
So in closing, consider becoming a partner with the John Rolfe MS. PTA, with you we can do more!
We Are The Diffence!
